Typical Stillhaventfound. Always trying to remain objective and fair to both sides. That's good but i remember i was in Australia when i saw this news and to me this was nothing to really care about. But then it got bigger and eventually it was always on the straits times website. It caught my attention obviously and i researched more into this issue. To be objective, i felt that this issue was blown out of proportion by the Straits Times. It was a small thing. AWARE was a small organisation not representative of even a simple majority of the women's population in Singapore. But it was blown out of proportion and i was upset when the only news i read from the straits times was all about the position of the old guard and always critical of josie's team. It was in all honesty the most biased piece of reporting i have ever seen in my whole life and i am not exaggerating. Josie was painted in a very negative light and a simple situation was turn into a religious issue. I have heard that the homosexual population in US are using such tactics and i was thinking this could be the tactic they are using now.

I do not think Josie's approach is totally wrong. I read another article by today and felt it much more objective in many many aspects. Each side has its agenda(as you have pointed out) and and everyone will promote their agenda. That is the fact of life but one must do it with consideration and tactfully. As to whether Josie's team has done it tactfully is something i cannot really say as the press has painted them in such a negative way and the pressure they faced was insurmountable. But perhaps they were a little too naive and a little too strong. Perhaps.

I need to say though that I have a gay friend in Australia and have nothing against gays. We greet each other but there are some gays who are ok while others who are just plain militant, to say the least. As a Christian, i have search my spirit many times over many issues and experiences and i can tell you that the homosexual spirit is that of the evil one. But yes, we must always have grace and love in our approach.

I think the problem with the gay issue is ppl magnify it above all else. Anti-gay Aware could have tackled other issues like divorce, adultery with as much zeal but they only hit the gay issue hard. Why are Christians kind of relax about divorce when it harms families and kids just as much? Homosexuality is not a greater sin. A sin is a sin. The right approach is not to politicise it. I agree we don't need to legalise gay marriages as it goes against the law of nature. But we probably shouldn't be telling gays they shouldn't be gays when there are way more sins out there.

As for the so called pro-gay curriculum that's now banned, it's a secular viewpoint. The church should not impose its religious viewpoints in a secular society. Slam it all you want in church but not keep it off the state's affairs. Look at Paul. Did he try to tell the Roman King to implement God's law in Rome?

I agree that Jesus PRIMARY message is one of LOVE and not condemnation. But lets not forget that Jesus also represents the character of God which is also HOLY.

Those who speak out about the ACTS of homosexuality extend a hand of Grace to the homosexual as a person.

They are not saying that we should not help the struggling homosexual.

They are saying that we cannot encourage and teach our children that homosexuality is neutral and healthy because the acts of anal sex is not neutral and healthy.

Homosexual acts obviously include anal sex so Aware's CSE programme is very devious and wrong.

We can reach out to the homosexuals with more compassion but we musnt say that love means it's ok to do what they are doing.

With the current climate which is being aggravated by Straits Times reporting, the issue gets all muddled up.

So we must separate the issue of Aware's CSE programme and not confuse it with not being able to help homosexuals through compassion or love.

The video testimony of christopher yuan and his father reveals that God is BOTH LOVE AND HOLY. He doesnt say that just because God is love, homosexuality acts are ok. At the same time we cannot simply say God is Holy and therefore we have a right to hate and condemn the homosexual person instead of helping them.

The problem is when people talk about LOVE without the HOLINESS or HOLINESS without the love.

View this video testimony right to the end of Christopher and his father Victor who share about the Grace and Love of God when Chris had HIV..

http://christopheryuanvideo.blogspot.com/

Josie and teams approach were naive, simplistic but they were trying to bring out the hidden deviant Trainers Manual of Aware that was being taught in schools.

Till this day, the media is still trying to drown out the voices of those who believe in morality and using the Religion card to stop them.

What is your opinion about the anal contents in the suspended Aware CSE programme? Are you in favor?

Your argument is a statement if used consistently would mean everything can be of fallen nature even heterosexuality and sexuality. But I believe that the fallen nature leads to abusive sex like that seen the Christian Brothers in Ireland, or using sex as a form of religious worship common in those biblical days.

Hi AFOC,

I probably should have said "homosexuality", not "gays", although I think it's also true to say that "gays" - as well as heterosexuals, as heterosexuals are fallen creation too - are the result of Adam's sin and the world being out of wack due to Adam's sin and fallen creation's continual sinning. My belief is that in a perfect world, homosexuality or homosexuals would not exist, nor would a lot of sinful actions and behaviors that have nothing to do with homosexuality, but we don't live in a perfect world obviously. Sin entered into the world through Adam and since then the world has been characterized by imperfections.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Can't we say that of sex?" But, yes, I think in a sense all our actions are tainted by sin - sex included -, although in Christ, we're the righteousness of God.

"I think gays and everything imperfect (and there’s a lot of imperfection in heterosexuals too) are the result of the world being out of wack due to Adam’s fall and all our sinfulness since then."

Any scriptural support? can't we say that of sex?
